COACHES ANNOUNCEMENTS

Important information
Thanks so much for all of your time and effort during the current season. As the season winds down during the next couple of weeks I’d like to ask you for your assistance with the following:

Player Evaluation – As noted in our pre-season meeting, the fall season gives us an opportunity to see if teams and players are properly “placed” for ECYSA competition. It is a certainty that we will have some changes in personnel (players) and teams (placement) for the spring season. Please take some time and complete the player evaluation forms that are provided on the website. There is a PDF. and excel located on the coaches page.

Registration – This year, in addition to mail in registration, we will have a soccer registration night. Spring registration will take place at the Pentucket Middle School (cafeteria) on Wednesday, November 7th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. The deadline for postmarked registration will be Wednesday, November 7th. Late fees will be applied after that date. ECYSA requires that we have spring teams submitted by the first week in January. In order to collect and organize data and determine the number of teams and coaches needed for the spring we will need this information as early as possible. We have scheduled a meeting on Wednesday, December 5th at 7:30 pm at the WN Public Safety Building for coaches to take a look at a draft of spring rosters. Rosters and coaching assignments will be finalized by December 19th.

Indoor Season and Equipment – As noted at our opening meeting, PYSA does not sponsor indoor teams. However, coaches can contact their division director to request use of their equipment for the indoor season. In most cases, equipment will remain in the hands of a fall coach who will also coach a spring team. Again, please contact your division director to confirm your plans.

Board and Leadership Volunteers – The PYSA board welcomes your input and interest in taking a leadership position (or recommending a candidate). Currently, we are hoping to fill the following positions:

- Groveland Town Director(s)
- West Newbury Town Director
- PYSA Registrar
- PYSA Equipment Manager
